| From traditional Savoyard fondues and raclettes, French Brasseries to curry and Tex-Mex the choice is enormous. |
We've put together a selection of some of our favourite Chamonix restaurants to help make the choice of where to go easier:
International.
Casa Valeria - Traditional Italian, great pasta's, great pizzas, great price. The only negative is the house wine but you've been warned.
Caveau
- Known as one of Chamonix's best kept secrets, the Caveau has a range of cuisines from around the world. Pizzas from a charcoal oven, Thai, Swedish, its all on the menu. The Fillet de Boeuf rocks as does the Salmon En-croute with a crayfish sauce!
Goophy - One of the best restaurants in town. Modern style food beautifully prepared by the Swedish chefs, but beware you'll need to book at least a day in advance.
Munchies - Another top Swedish restaurant. Once known as the best, but in our book its Goophy who just has an edge but Munchies serves some great food. Definitely check out the Thai prawns and oh yeah, this is another one you'll have to book the day before!
Tex-Mex.
The Tex Mex - Always consistent with a great selection of dishes with all the favourites such as Fajitas and Burritos.
Brasseries
Brasseries - Funnily enough there's hundreds but for trad fast food French style one of the best is the brasserue by the Hotel Morgan. Well worth a visit for excellent food at a fair price.
Savoyard
Bergerie - Great mix of traditional Savoyard dishes. Well presented and pleasant surroundings and you'll find tourists and locals alike dining there.

Taverine - By the clock tower in town, the Taverine is great for that must have holiday Raclette. Aimed specifically at the tourist market it delivers what it sets out to.
