| Tour of
Mont Blanc. |
 |
Azzure provides
2 Tours of Mont Blanc:
  - 8 days, 8 nights with 6 days
trekking or
  - 10 days, 10 nights with 8
days trekking. |
| Description. |
| Both treks are
designed to take in the most stunning peaks and picturesque
alpine valleys & meadows. Full vehicle backup means
you need only carry a light day bag. |
All
your baggage is transported from hotel to hotel by minibus
allowing you to relax and enjoy the dramatic scenery
around you. This is a demanding trek & requires
a good level of fitness. There is between 4-7 hours
hiking every day with some steep ascents & descents
over cols at 2500m altitude.
Accommodation: The accommodation is based on
2 people sharing a double room*. As you would expect
in the towns are good hotels but for the overnight stays
in the mountains the accommodation is more rustic.
Broadly there are two categories:
  - Hotels: double bedrooms
with en-suite facilities,
  - Mountain Inns: double bedrooms
with shared facilities.
*single rooms are available at extra cost.
Equipment: This is a mountain trek with variations
in altitude of 1000-1500m throughout the course of the
day. Temperatures fluctuate & can drop below freezing
& with the wind-chill factors it can be even colder.
Group members should be prepared & ensure they bring
adequate layers, waterproof clothing, windproof clothing
& good footwear etc.
